PROJECT :: Amherst South

LOCATION :: University Park, Texas

DESIGN :: A study in contrasts, this park cities
landscape features an informal entry garden,
while the pool courtyard responds to contemporary architectural features of the house. Visitors are led through mass plantings of grasses and perennials to arrive at the house. The landscape further responds
to the architecture through design of outdoor kitchen
and dining terrace, which extend directly from interior living space. A cut stone runnel anchors the swimming pool, animating the exterior environment with soothing sound and moving water.
